DOUBLE PREDESTINATION
The Calvinistic doctrine that God has determined both who the saved/elect are and who the damned/reprobate are. Everyone's already been assigned a fate. Usually, the idea is expressed as God's actively willing the salvation of the elect while passively allowing the sinful to continue to sin, thus placing themselves on the path to damnation. Of course, the entire saved/damned dynamic had to have been created by God, so God can't escape ultimate responsibility for damning people if he built into the universe the potential for damnation. Call God's action "passive" or "active" if you want—in the end, God's responsible for your ultimate fate. Double predestination, in its most hardcore form, is an affirmation of divine voluntarism (it's all God's will—Deus vult). Muslims, being divine voluntarists themselves, would approve.
